About Pinetree Care Group

Since 2004 Pinetree has been a driving force in China for sustainable healthy longevity by empowering healthcare providers, professionals as well as patients and families, providing integrated and restorative care, bridging the transitions between hospitals, community health centers and home of individual families. By the end of 2020, Pinetree has provided more than 5 million care sessions to over 600,000 families through a network of 10,000+ integrated care managers (a.k.a. the “Prevengers”) nation-wide, prevented 38%~50% readmissions, reduced family care burden, and is committed to continuous empowerment of a healthy ageing society.

In the most recent COVID-19 pandemic, Pinetree kept working with hospitals and healthcare professionals to provide tele-care, video-based coaching and online group classes to address the health care needs of the most vulnerable home-bound population such as people with NCDs and post-operative patients. The 36 webcasts attracted over 8 million views.

Pinetree team works closely with our medical, technological and research partners such as the Center of Healthcare Services Research, Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, Geriatric Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, China International Neuroscience Institute (China-INI) at Xuanwu Hospital, Geriatric Orthopedics Department at Jishuitan Hospital, etc., led or participated in 26 research projects with 33 publications, supported discussions and drafting of around 40 national policies.

From 2020 to 2021, Pinetree undertook one of the first global pilots of World Health Organization’s ICOPE (integrated care for the older people), supported by China’s central government grant for home and community elderly care reform, aimed at advancing and promoting evidence-based, localized health care delivery system.

Pinetree has been continuously accredited ISO9001, 14001, 18001/45001, received National Elderly Respect Award in 2013, was rated as Most Trusted Brand by Healthy China Forum in 2015. In March 2021, Pinetree was listed in Fortune 20 Start-ups with the Most Social Impact in China.
